Degree / Level: suitable for 2ND Cycle Degree students, requiring a first Higher Education degree (e.g. Bachelor, Diploma) in Law, Social Work/Social Sciences, Educational Studies or related fields

Course content: Within the current refugee crisis all over Europe, the participants will deal with different aspects of Diversity. The complexities arising from Diversity for all areas of the daily life are one of the greatest challenges of the future. Treating Diversity as a chance and seeing its potential for the society is among those tasks. After an introduction into the topic, the participants will concentrate on policy and society issues, analyze the role and responsibility of Europe as well as the current legal framework, and examine the chances and challenges for the educational sector before meeting with applied Diversity in local settings

Places per course: 20 students

Costs: Costs: 250,- € (incl. course fee, activities and social program, public transportation, some meals)

Credits: You should be able to receive academic credits (up to 3 ECTS) at your home institution for the Heidelberg Summer School courses. SRH University Heidelberg will issue grade transcripts for your home university. Please check with your Study Abroad / International Office for details.
